For a long time, Riot Games has been mocked for only knowing how to make one game, which is League of Legends. Later, when they released Teamfight Tactics, many still considered it just a game mode, not a separate game. However, VALORANT is completely different; this game has been built from scratch by Riot Games with a new system of characters, skills, gameplay, and maps… While its future success remains uncertain, the stereotype of only being able to make one game has been completely erased.

With Riot Games positioning VALORANT as a game friendly to everyone, lucrative markets like China and Southeast Asia will definitely be fully exploited. Staying true to their promise of releasing the game in the summer of 2020, Riot Games has officially announced the VALORANT launch date; however, Vietnamese gamers are not as fortunate.

Although the announcement mentioned a delay, we can see two positive signals in this announcement. First, the global release date of VALORANT is very close (June 2nd). Given that it is being released globally and its typical “Free to Play” style, it is likely that this game will allow players to play for free at launch. If Vietnamese gamers can adapt to high ping issues, they can fully play this game on servers like North America.

The second positive signal is that Riot Games is very concerned about the Vietnamese region, and the release of their games in our country is just a matter of time. Perhaps while waiting, gamers who are truly passionate or eager to explore this game should “study abroad” on foreign servers before VALORANT officially appears in Vietnam.
