MVKE’s Performance Shocks the VCS Community
Against an opponent perceived as significantly weaker, DetonatioN FocusMe, the players of MGNVikings Esports were expected to secure a convincing victory. The match unfolded almost as the VCS audience had anticipated, at least until the end of the second game when MVKE experienced a shocking turnaround.

Notably, before allowing their opponents to make a comeback, MVKE led by about 10k gold along with numerous resources such as Dragons, Void Monsters, and towers. Clearly, no one understood how MVKE could fail while DFM emerged victorious in the second game.
On various Vietnamese League of Legends forums, many fans expressed their surprise mixed with frustration. It was evident that the MVKE players played rather carelessly while holding many advantages in the second game. This carelessness led to individual mistakes across the team and resulted in an unbelievable defeat for the VCS representative.

VCS Representatives at LCP 2025 Bring Many Concerns
Once the most anticipated team, GAM Esports has shown some instability and has only recently demonstrated signs of recovery after defeating the weaker Chiefs Esports Club. Meanwhile, Team SecretWhales, despite changing their name, still maintains the same ‘form’ as they did when they were Team Whales and Team Secret: they can win against any opponent but can also lose to anyone.

The ongoing instability is a common issue for all three VCS teams participating in LCP 2025. Clearly, this could be a critical weakness for Vietnam’s ambitions to dominate the League of Legends tournament. Especially as strong opponents like CBTC Flying Oyster and TALON are showing excellent form and are ready to punish any mistakes from their rivals.
