As the summer transfer window for League of Legends comes to a close, the future of Tarzan – the former Griffin jungler, remains a big question mark. There were rumors that Tarzan would join LNG Esports, but so far, neither the Chinese team nor Tarzan himself has made any moves.
Recently, South Korean media confirmed that Tarzan will decline an offer from the LPL and instead has agreed to join KT Rolster – the former team of jungle legend Score. This information has been verified as a leak from the LCK organizers, who assert that Tarzan is determined to stay in the Korean League of Legends tournament to seek opportunities to prove himself.

As for KT Rolster, they finished the LCK Spring 2020 tournament in the top 5 overall, after losing to DAMWON Gaming in the first round of the playoffs. This is a significant improvement compared to the Summer 2019 tournament, when even the former LCK champions of 2018 had to compete in the promotion matches to retain their spot in the LCK.
Since the collapse of their Super Team lineup, KT has been in a downward spiral and lost its status as a major player in the Korean League of Legends scene, their appeal in the transfer market cannot be compared to top teams like T1, Gen.G, or DragonX.
Recently, the team reunited with two former players from the 2018 championship lineup, Smeb and Ucal, but the reality is that this personnel addition does not bring much hope to fans, as both Smeb and Ucal have passed their peak performance stages.

The jungler position for KT is currently held by BonO – a player who is not well-known and has never been highly regarded. Therefore, the addition of Tarzan is certainly a sensible choice. The youth, talent, and class of the former Griffin player is exactly what KT is lacking right now.
With recognized skills, there is no doubt that Tarzan is the most deserving successor to the position left by the legend Score.
However, it is worth noting that the roster for the LCK Summer 2020 has been finalized since May 28, which means if Tarzan does indeed join KT, he will only be able to participate in their lineup during the second half of the season when the mid-season transfer window occurs.
