LCK 2026 Rounds 1-2 Schedule: Decisive Week for the Four Powerhouses

The Loss to HLE Helped T1 “Wake Up”

Last weekend, after Gen.G unexpectedly “fell” to KT, it forced T1 and HLE into a crucial match to determine the next playoff spot after KT and Gen.G could qualify for the 2025 World Championship. In that match, T1 suffered an unbelievable 0-3 defeat despite having previously won all their matches against HLE from the Road to MSI up to the last game of Rounds 3-5. However, it can be said that the loss helped T1 “wake up” just in time.

Accordingly, in the match against HLE, T1 focused on controlling major objectives while Peanut from HLE continuously ganked and was willing to abandon objectives. This allowed HLE to gain a complete advantage from the laning phase, setting a good foundation for the mid-game. Meanwhile, T1 secured some early objectives, even achieving a Power Spike, but as the game progressed, they fell behind in both team fights and macro gameplay.

From there, in the match against DK and the winning games against Gen.G, T1 applied the same formula that Peanut had used before. Not only did this give T1 a good advantage (T1 went from winning to tying in lanes across all three games), but they also performed even better by controlling several major objectives.

T1’s Change is Significantly Different from Previous Years

In previous years, even in this season, T1 was often seen as adapting quite slowly and only began to get used to new metas during crucial stages, especially at the World Championship. For instance, in 2024, T1 struggled with the lane swap meta until the World Championship. However, the current situation is somewhat different.

But T1's Journey is Still Long

But T1’s Journey is Still Long.

Of course, T1 still faces many challenges ahead. But with what they have shown, their fans have reason to be confident. The World Championship has always been a great stage for T1, and even their 2025 season looks much brighter than their 2024 season.
