The Teamfight Tactics version 10.12 has officially launched on the Vietnamese server. With the removal of many old units and the introduction of numerous new key units, many players are bound to feel confused, making it challenging to choose suitable compositions for climbing ranks. If you are experiencing a similar situation, here are 6 recommended compositions.
1. Super Technology
Throughout recent updates, Super Technology has remained a very powerful composition with its primary carries being Irelia and Ekko. In the 10.12 update, the only significant change affecting this composition is the disappearance of the Saint Maiden. However, anyone who plays this composition knows that Miss Fortune and Ekko have always been like “oil and water,” so there is not much to worry about regarding Super Technology.

With the introduction of a new factor – Vayne, players can reach level 6 without relying on luck with Ekko. Moreover, this is also a perfect piece for the Super Technology tribe as it can deal significant damage in the mid-game and has excellent self-protection capabilities.

With the appearance of Riven (Blade Master + Time Warp), Irelia will benefit somewhat, and adding Vayne will significantly change the carry role in the Super Technology composition.
2. Brawler – Gunner
The disappearance of Miss Fortune has had the most significant impact on this composition; however, the addition of several champions from both the Brawler and Gunner classes allows this composition to be completed early with substitute pieces.

Specifically, the Brawler – Gunner composition can maintain its strength from the old framework except for Miss Fortune. Additionally, the Gunner lineup now includes a new carry, Kog’Maw (whose skill costs only 30 mana, increases attack speed by 80%, and deals damage based on a percentage of the target’s maximum health). Moreover, the Brawlers also get Illaoi and Gnar, significantly increasing their durability.

Ultimately, the game-changer in the meta is Janna – who converts all the damage from this composition into magical damage. At that point, the “gun-wielding mages” will turn the tables against all shielded opponents. If played wisely, you can swap out Janna to regain physical damage when facing teams with Mystical, creating a mixed damage source that is very unpredictable for the new Gunner composition.
3. Mage Gangplank
Although the Mage composition is no longer powerful in previous metas, combining it with the “national champion Gangplank” changes the narrative. With just one combo, Gangplank can wipe out the enemy team thanks to the enormous damage from items and 6 Mages.

With the power of 4 Mages, a Cannon Barrage from Gangplank may slightly lose its impact compared to 6 Mages. However, with the true damage from the Celestial Guardians behind, “Syndra and her friends” will finish off any remaining targets after Gangplank’s skill. Not to mention, with the addition of the 4-cost champion Viktor, this also becomes one of the major damage dealers of this composition.
If lucky, you might acquire the Celestial Guardian’s Blessing and give it to Gangplank, resulting in a Cannon Barrage dealing true damage that will leave opponents stunned for 5 seconds.
4. Space Explorer – Marksman
Early in the game, it’s best to have a Caitlyn unit from the start, ideally at 2 stars; this is a powerful piece at the beginning of the game and can hold items for future carries. For the frontline, an early Nautilus unit is also excellent, as this champion has decent stats, good crowd control skills, and is a perfect tank at the start of the game.

As mentioned earlier, the two most important units of this composition are Jhin and Teemo, providing a troublesome amount of mixed damage that is hard for opponents to counter. Jhin in this new version isn’t too different from before; in fact, he may be stronger with the Infinity Edge granting 100% critical chance, which pairs perfectly with the Bow of the Green. The best defensive item Jhin needs is the Trap Claw to dodge dangerous crowd control skills from opponents.

Teemo is a bit more complicated; this champion requires both AP items and mana to be able to “throw bombs” continuously and effectively. Blue Buff (formerly the Archangel’s Staff) and Rabadon’s Deathcap are the most suitable items for Teemo. If the enemy has a lot of healing like Celestial or War Machine, you might consider adding Morello’s Evil Tome.
5. Mecha – Assassin
Assassins are among the most changed classes in season 3 with the removal of Kai’Sa and Kha’Zix and the addition of 2 new champions, Zed and Nocturne. The Mecha Robot is currently very strong and tankier than before, with the new Assassins including Zed and Nocturne alongside Shaco being the strongest composition to counter magic damage and marksman teams effectively.

In this, Nocturne must reach 3 stars to be reliable and equipped with items. Otherwise, the main carry in this composition will be Zed with essential items like Death’s Sword, Giant Slayer, Infinity Edge, and Guardian Angel. Moreover, with the ability to steal attack power, this unit is very useful for countering all-in compositions targeting carries and becomes a nightmare for marksmen like Jhin or Vayne. Additionally, Viktor will replace Kai’Sa with his enormous magical damage output.
6. 6 Celestial Guardians with Saint Mage
Finally, we will witness the extremely powerful return of the Celestial Guardian sisters. The 6 Celestial Guardians composition is currently quite strong thanks to the damage boosted by Janna the Saint Mage for true damage.
With 6 Celestial Guardians and 6 Mages, you can modify this composition by reducing Mages and adding Mystical or leaving out 1 Celestial Guardian to bring in Jhin or Urgot Celestial Guardian as in the legend.

Among them, the recommended item for Janna is the Shojin Spear so she can continuously knock back the entire enemy team. At the same time, Xerath is recommended to have 2 Guinsoo’s Rageblades to obliterate any enemy in an instant.
