In patch 10.11, the player community was quite “taken aback” when Riot Games introduced a rather dull universe called Littler Little Legends (starting the match with 85 health). Yet today, Riot Mortdog (Head of TFT Design) unveiled a new universe that is equally… boring:
More specifically, this new universe will impose a limit where each champion can have a maximum of 2 items. The reason this universe has faced backlash from the community is that it offers nothing enjoyable or more potential compared to other universes. In fact, the community believes it significantly buffs the Supers (as only 1-2 items per champion are sufficient), making players with high “luck” who draw a Supers composition have an extremely high win rate.

Everyone wants to play Supers if they find themselves in a match with this universe

Some people appreciate the diversity of universes in Teamfight Tactics but are disappointed because they are increasingly lacking in creativity.

Some are not interested at all. Conversely, some would accept this universe if Riot Games… removed the Littler Little Legends universe with 85 health at the start of the match.
Additionally, many players believe this new universe will not be much more interesting than the usual universe, as “players” only need to build 2 attack items for the carry and do not need defensive items anymore.

Ultimately, if there are no reasonable adjustments for the Thieves’ Gloves (which occupy 3 item slots) and Garen (who possesses the items of the Pilot champions), this new universe will face even more criticism when it launches on the official servers worldwide.
