Recently, the League of Legends community on the PBE server received new information about upcoming products from Riot Games. Specifically, players have discovered the presence of 3 “items” named Infernal Karthus, Infernal Kennen, and Infernal Vel’Koz in the store interface of this test server.

This likely means that the trio of new Infernal skins has been confirmed, with the new owners being the champions Karthus, Kennen, and Vel’Koz.

Karthus is certainly a name deserving of Riot’s “reward”. This so-called “fake” Reaper has found a new role in the jungle, transforming from a mage often deemed outdated in gameplay to a highly strategic choice for many professional teams.
Meanwhile, Vel’Koz – a champion not particularly flashy, yet never overlooked, is capable of fulfilling both Mid Lane and Support roles effectively, boasting a skill set that demands high individual skill. This Void “octopus” is also one of the champions with the fewest skins (excluding newly released champions), so a new skin for him is surely a welcome addition.

As for Kennen, he is the only champion in the trio of the Kinkou Order, which includes Kennen, Akali, and Shen, who does not yet have an Infernal skin. Perhaps giving Kennen a new skin is Riot’s way of making fans of the champion feel less “left out”. Furthermore, it has been over 3 years since April Fool’s Day 2017 that Kennen has not received a new skin.

One thing that has puzzled the community is the information about the new champion that Riot has yet to reveal. If they are set to debut soon, then data regarding the accompanying skin of this “dreamy jungle champion” should have also appeared on the PBE by now. The most plausible explanation for this issue is that the new champion will not be released anytime soon, at least within the next 2 updates. Or, thinking more positively, perhaps Riot is just keeping information about her under wraps.
