From the moment the tournament information was announced, The 1st Valorant Championship has impressed the Vietnamese FPS community with its super “huge” list of sponsors, promising to provide a high-quality playground for Valorant teams in Hanoi. The tournament is also honored to announce the participation of sponsors including: Nvidia, Asus, HyperX, WD, HNC, and the famous cyber chain GameHome.

With the support of sponsors and systematic investment, The 1st Valorant Championship also boasts a relatively attractive prize pool for a new game like Valorant, with a total value of up to 50 million VND.

Competition format: All Valorant matches at The 1st Valorant Championship will be played in a Touch-13 format, where the team that wins 13 rounds first in a game will win that game.

8 teams will be divided into 2 groups, each group consisting of 4 teams, competing in a round-robin format. Each match will consist of 1 game. The top 2 teams will qualify for the semifinals. If 2 teams have the same number of wins, head-to-head results will be considered. If 3 teams are tied in wins, round difference will be taken into account.

The 2 semifinal matches will feature the top team from Group A facing the second-placed team from Group B and vice versa. The 2 teams winning the semifinals will meet in the finals. All semifinal and final matches will be played in a Best-of-3 format, where the team that wins 2 games will win the match.

All 04 maps currently available in Valorant will appear at The 1st Valorant Championship.

In the group stage, all matches will take place on the Ascent map. Ascent is the newest map, just launched on June 2.

The top teams from Group A and B will have the right to ban 1 map, while the second-placed teams from Group A and B will have the right to choose the map for the first game in the semifinals.

The intense gunfights at The 1st Valorant Championship would be less exciting without the “fire bearers,” and the duo of casters Van Tung and Sonbus are the faces responsible for conveying the most thrilling and captivating moments of each match to the audience and fans.

Van Tung is a former caster for VETV with extensive expertise in esports games, knowledgeable about gameplay and meta. Van Tung is known for his pleasant commentary voice and has also served as an analyst for GAM Esports.
