With CS:GO rapidly growing and the number of players increasing at an astonishing rate, the game’s community groups on social media platforms like Facebook have likewise expanded significantly. Therefore, the sudden deletion of the VN – CS:GO group, the largest community group in Vietnam, last night left many gamers bewildered and anxious.

After a night filled with confusion and numerous theories, the community finally got the accurate answer regarding the reason for this incident when the admin team of the VN – CS:GO group provided an explanation. It turns out that a new gamer in the group posted a sensitive photo with the intent of fishing for likes, but the consequence led to the whole CS:GO community’s hangout being “bugged” by Facebook.

If you have been observant, Facebook has recently tightened its policies regarding community standards, and many posts and groups have been “deleted” due to members posting sensitive images in groups. Unfortunately for the VN – CS:GO group, a careless gamer posted a sensitive photo with the intent of fishing for likes, causing the community’s hangout to disappear.

This serves as a warning not only for the CS:GO community but also for other gaming groups; using revealing images to fish for likes can happen anywhere. Admins or community managers must carefully moderate when members post. Just a little carelessness can cause all the hard work put into building a large community with engaging events to disappear without a trace.
