T1 Continues to Face ‘Buried’ Handling with Its Own Fans
For many T1 fans who have supported the team for years, the period from after the 2024 season transfer window to now has truly been a nightmare. Not only has there been drama about Zeus or Gumayusi being unexpectedly benched, but T1 fans have also experienced many negative emotions. Notably, even fans who purchased the five-year Membership package (the most expensive at about 1.6 million VND) have been “removed”. It’s worth mentioning that while comments mentioning Gumayusi (implicitly or explicitly) have been dealt with, comments referring to Smash have remained intact.
This has left many T1 fans in Vietnam extremely outraged. Even comments cheering for the entire team (excluding Smash) have disappeared, and the original commenters have been banned. On T1 fan forums in Vietnam, many supporters have expressed helplessness regarding T1’s media handling: on one hand, the team posts content to redirect criticism towards Smash, while on the other, they act against these very criticisms.
T1 Only Has One Way to Resolve This Chaos
They must officially speak out on social media platforms and even quickly finalize the roster for the upcoming 2025 Regular Seasons. The return of Gumayusi, or a reassuring statement from Faker, could help T1 through this difficult period, especially since the team’s handling has left many fans dissatisfied.
And more importantly, T1 must perform well in the 2025 Regular Seasons to advance to MSI and subsequently to the World Championship. Only these achievements can help fans forget how T1 has turned the late 2024 to early 2025 period for the greatest League of Legends team into a disaster.
