Cerberus Esports Emerges as a Championship Contender
The team nicknamed “Cerberus” in recent seasons often played the role of a potential team, boasting skilled players and quality coaching staff, yet failing to achieve impressive results. However, Cerberus in the first half of VCS Summer 2020 has transformed into a remarkably strong “Cerberus” ready to knock down any obstacles in their path. It wasn’t until they faced GAM Esports in the final match of the first half that they narrowly lost with a score of 1-2.

Cerberus Esports is on the path to building a cohesive team play style where all players can shine. Nevertheless, the two most impressive players from Cerberus right now are perhaps XuHao and RonOP. XuHao has stepped out of the shadow of other players and is much more confident in the jungle, while RonOP is fully utilizing his sharp instincts in team fights with champions like Bard and Thresh to create impactful plays.

GAM Esports Stands Strong Amidst the Storm
GAM Esports entered this summer tournament facing a slew of unfortunate news, including the loss of several quality players, particularly Zeros, and notable coaching figures like Tinikun and Yuna. They were even mocked for adding coach Jackiewind to the lineup, with many claiming it was merely to avoid relegation.

However, GAM remained incredibly resilient and secured victory after victory. Even amidst discussions about salary issues on social media, the players of GAM Esports fought with all their might, and the results eventually came; they are currently the only team to have defeated Cerberus Esports. As they enter the second half, GAM’s goal is, of course, to win as many matches as possible, and it would not be surprising to see Levi and his teammates in the VCS finals once again.

EVOS Esports’ Turbulent First Half
It can be said that EVOS Esports was the focal point of the summer transfer period when they unexpectedly acquired the “Demon King” Zeros. However, in the initial matches, this combination proved to be more harmful than beneficial; Zeros continued to play aggressively and dominate lanes, but his movements were completely out of sync with his teammates. At times, people even wondered if EVOS had made a mistake in this deal.

However, when facing lighter opponents, EVOS regained their winning streak by defeating three teams below them in the standings. While they are currently achieving good results, we must remember that EVOS lost all their matches to the top 4 teams in the first half. If this situation continues into the second half, it is entirely possible that EVOS will end up in 5th-6th place and fall somewhere in the playoffs. Perhaps the second half will be the time for EVOS to transform and nurture hopes of reaching the World Championship.
