DAMWON Gaming is soaring high in the LCK Summer 2020, currently holding the 2nd position on the leaderboard, and young star Showmaker continues to inspire the “rookie” team with a series of outstanding performances, being one of the two players to achieve a Pentakill in the first half of the season.

Not only thriving in the professional arena, recently, the mid-laner of DAMWON received a very unexpected gift from singer Sunmi – former member of the Wonder Girls, when she posted a picture wearing DWG’s competitive outfit with the name-tag Showmaker on her personal Instagram along with the caption: “I’m the Showmaker.”

Being a very famous name in the K-Pop scene, Sunmi’s public “confession” to Showmaker, as well as her indirect declaration of being a fan of League of Legends, has left the South Korean gaming community in a frenzy. The post quickly garnered nearly 350,000 likes on Instagram.

Sunmi is known as a former member of the famous K-Pop girl group Wonder Girls, which was one of the most prominent groups of the 2nd generation (Gen 2), alongside other legends like Big Bang, Super Junior, DBSK, Girls’ Generation…
In Vietnam, many gamers may remember Wonder Girls most for their hit “Nobody” that was a sensation on music magazine shows, and even, this song has been subject to numerous parodies.

When she was a member of Wonder Girls, Sunmi pursued an image of innocence and cuteness, but many audiences felt that this style made the singer less memorable. Therefore, after leaving Wonder Girls, Sunmi immediately changed to a glamorous, sexy style with bold outfits and fiery performances on stage.
