Optimus and Minh Nghi are both incredibly well-known figures in the Vietnamese League of Legends community. However, aside from a few instances where they stood together at the interview podium, the two seem to have little in common, as they operate in two different fields. Recently, though, Optimus and Minh Nghi found themselves embroiled in a minor controversy after “Professor Cuong”‘s reactions to Minh Nghi’s interview with players received mixed opinions.
During a livestream commentary on the match between Team Flash and CERBERUS Esports, Optimus jokingly suggested that MC Minh Nghi refrain from asking tactical questions about the teams, stating:
“If MC Minh Nghi is watching my livestream, I would like to invite her for an ice cream. The goal is to interview all the core members of the teams in VCS. I will invite all of them out, and then we can sit down to discuss all the secrets and tactics of the teams. Why ask these questions in an interview again? They are hard to answer, they are secrets, you know? They can only respond vaguely.”
What seemed like a minor issue inadvertently sparked a “verbal battle” among the fan communities, as Optimus argued that Minh Nghi should not ask about team tactics because it is a sensitive issue. However, his wording seemed to have upset some fans.
Although this was just a reaction stream meant for fun, Optimus’s comments about MC Minh Nghi did impact the subject herself. As a familiar host of VCS, being criticized for a lack of professionalism in an unclear manner can add significant pressure. Upon learning about the reaction, MC Minh Nghi immediately responded:

Besides responding to the professionalism issue, Minh Nghi also shared that she puts a lot of thought, effort, and time into doing her job well, but sometimes just a few offhand comments can make the work no longer enjoyable.
In fact, it is not surprising that Optimus touched upon Minh Nghi’s professionalism since they work in two completely different fields. For female MC Minh Nghi, her interview style is quite common in other regions, not just VCS.
For those who are fans of LPL, we are surely familiar with the in-depth interviews focusing on professional elements by Candice or Hilda, so it is quite normal for Minh Nghi to ask questions related to tactics or match developments.
Fortunately, Optimus later apologized to MC Minh Nghi, acknowledging that his words were a bit excessive and promised to learn from the experience and control his words better in the future.

Overall, the situation has been resolved amicably, and aside from a few minor disputes among the fan communities, nothing too unfortunate occurred. Both Optimus and Minh Nghi have put the matter behind them, and most importantly, they are both committed to listening to community feedback and improving their professionalism even further.
