Although retired, the contract Uzi signed with Royal Never Give Up is still in effect. As of the end of 2020, Uzi was still part of RNG as a content creator, and this has made his “comeback” quite challenging.
Uzi has hinted multiple times that this team has made it difficult for him to express his desire to return to the professional arena. The reason is that Uzi no longer wants to play for RNG and has been eager to move to another team, specifically Invictus Gaming.

IG’s owner, Wang Zuting, also revealed that the deal for Uzi was supposed to be initiated, but contract issues between him and RNG forced IG to withdraw. While Uzi’s contract with RNG is still valid, he can only play for this team if he returns to the professional scene.
With ADC GALA performing more and more steadily, Uzi’s position at RNG could only be that of a benchwarmer. This is something that a star who once stood at the top of the world like Uzi finds hard to accept.
After a period of silence, on February 22, Uzi finally announced the termination of his commercial contract with RNG. From now on, he and the team he has been with for nearly 10 years officially “part ways,” with no further ties between them.

Uzi’s termination of his contract with RNG also opens up significant opportunities for this former player to return to the professional scene; however, he shared that he has no specific plans for the near future and does not intend to make a comeback this year.
