The Worst Chosen Units in Teamfight Tactics That Players Should Avoid at All Costs in Patch 11.4

Not every Chosen unit in Teamfight Tactics is worth buying.

Nidalee

It can be said that this unit has been “nerfed to the ground” by Riot in patch 11.4. Specifically, from the base damage of the Spear Throw ability to health, and additional skill damage from the Brawler trait have all been heavily nerfed. Therefore, Nidalee has become incredibly weak at this point, and players should avoid buying this unit. Even the stats provided by the Chosen effect have also been nerfed in patch 11.4, leaving Nidalee in a very “useless” state.

If you accidentally bought Chosen Nidalee, you should only use this unit at the beginning of the match. Hyper-rolling Nidalee is not advisable at all, as her power has been reduced significantly. When facing teams with fast engage potential like Assassins or Duelists, Nidalee’s damage output is extremely low. The advice is for players to completely skip Chosen Nidalee early on, regardless of the circumstances.

Nasus

According to statistics from Metatft.com, both the Divine and Bloodthirster Chosen forms of Nasus have extremely poor average placements of 5.25 and 5.12. This means you have almost no chance of making it into the top 4 with this champion in your lineup. With the Chosen stats being nerfed in patch 11.4, Nasus is no longer “tanky” enough to withstand fights and utilize the lifesteal effect from the Bloodthirster trait. Consequently, the failure rate of teams using Chosen Nasus early in the game will increase significantly.

Clearly, when unable to gain stats to win, teams revolving around Nasus struggle to contend with stronger team comps in the late game. Even if your Nasus reaches 3-star level, he still cannot withstand the damage from Aurelion Sol or Kayle. Thus, buying Chosen Nasus is like setting a trap that leads players to defeat. Perhaps Teamfight Tactics players should avoid Chosen Nasus early in the game and look for stronger, more versatile units instead.

Chosen Fortune Champions

If you see a Chosen Fortune champion in the shop, you should immediately skip it, no matter what unit it is. The reason is that playing around the Fortune trait is always a very risky strategy. Letting your health drop too low and playing on a losing streak can easily lead to early elimination. Even if you are lucky and manage to upgrade your Fortune units to high levels, winning in the end remains very difficult.

Remember that the Fortune trait does not provide any attack or defense stats. Thus, as the game progresses into the late stages, the power of Fortune diminishes significantly. You only have one win condition when playing a Fortune team, which is to try and collect as many Neeko’s Help as possible to upgrade expensive champions to 3 stars. Of course, “gambling with fate” like that has never been a good strategy for climbing ranks.
