As expected, the game League of Legends: Wild Rift continues its journey of introducing new champions and adjusting existing ones to create a balanced game, as per Riot’s motto. The next champion to join the ranks of this mobile game is the Sinister Blade Katarina.
Already popular from the PC version of League of Legends, Katarina’s arrival in Wild Rift was anticipated. With Katarina’s addition, jungle options will become more diverse, and notably, Katarina is one of the Assassin champions who builds AP in a very powerful way, promising to create new metas after the 2.1a update is applied.

In addition to announcing Katarina’s appearance, Riot also shared information about the adjustments in the upcoming update. Specifically, the beloved Ezreal has been absent for long enough that Riot had to make immediate changes to bring this champion back. Specifically, the base damage of Mystic Shot will increase from 20/50/80/110 to 20/55/90/125.

However, the champion that players are most looking forward to being nerfed, due to being too “overpowered” like Darius, will not only not be weakened but will actually receive buffs to match higher ranked play. The healing ratio from Decimate will increase from 12-36% of missing health to 15-45%, and the slow duration of Apprehend will increase from 1 second to 1.5 seconds. Buffing Darius further has caused an uproar among Wild Rift players. According to player assessments, this champion has never been weakened enough for Riot to feel the need to buff him like this.

Additionally, Riot has made a move deemed quite “useless” by buffing Vayne (the damage dealt when stunning on terrain increases from 75/120/165/210 to 105/145/185/225, and the ultimate cooldown is reduced from 100/80/60 seconds to 90/75/60 seconds) but has reduced the power of her core item, the Blade of the Ruined King, by decreasing AD and movement speed steal duration.
Furthermore, players continue to demand that Riot should dedicate time to regularly fix issues related to ping in the game.
