In their latest video about Teamfight Tactics, Riot has confirmed many champions that will appear in Season 5. As for the traits, Riot Games has only revealed the Dragon trait along with its “egg-laying” ability. So what will the traits – classes of the champions appearing in Teamfight Tactics Season 5 be? Let’s find out.
First, we need to mention the Divine trait represented by Garen and Darius. Basically, Riot did not clarify the effects or stats that this trait provides. They only shared that champions belonging to the Divine trait are extremely powerful and players should not use both Garen and Darius in the same team composition. We can guess that the Divine trait will create a very strong buff for champions on the condition that you can only use either Garen or Darius.
Next, we have the Shadow trait with its first representatives including Draven, Viego (possibly Warwick as well). In League of Legends, Viego has a relatively strong healing ability when attacking targets that have been marked by Q – Blade of the Ruined King. It is possible that Riot will use this as an effect for the Shadow trait in Teamfight Tactics. This trait will likely have an effect that marks enemy champions when using skills, and allies attacking that target will be healed.
In the introduction video by Riot, we witness a round of combat between a Dragon player and their opponent. As for Shyvana and Udyr, they will likely have the Brawler trait in the upcoming Season 5. Shyvana in Season 4.5 is quite balanced, so this unit does not need much adjustment. Combining Shyvana with Udyr to achieve the 2 Brawler trait in the early game seems quite reasonable.
For Ashe, this champion will very likely carry the Marksman trait in Season 5. However, we cannot rule out the possibility that this champion will have the Hunter trait like in Season 3. The reason is that Teemo, a unit that was a Hunter in Season 3, is also appearing in the upcoming Season 5.
The trait that Heimerdinger will possess remains a mystery. This is because he is the only unit capable of summoning that has appeared in Season 5. If Riot decides to add Zyra, Malzahar, or Annie into Season 5, it is highly likely that the Summoner trait will return with these characters.
As for Gragas and Nautilus, we can guess that they will carry the Guardian trait. Interestingly, Gragas in Season 5 will use the skin model of the Warden skin in English. Meanwhile, Warden is also the English name for the Guardian trait in Season 2. Soraka is likely to be a Mystic champion in Season 5 since she previously had this trait in Seasons 2 and 3.
Regarding Aatrox, there is a 99% chance that this unit will have the Duelist trait. In Seasons 1 and 2, Aatrox had this trait. Furthermore, Riot has confirmed several champions likely to carry the Duelist trait such as Kayle, Draven, Yasuo, and Viego. It is likely that the Duelist trait will return in the upcoming Season 5. As for Kha’Zix, this champion also has a 99% chance of possessing the Assassin trait.
