To prepare for the upcoming VALORANT Esports roadmap, publisher VNG has decided to open registration for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Vietnam Stage 2 Challengers starting on March 26th to find the best VALORANT teams to compete for the national championship, as well as the opportunity to compete in international arenas.
VALORANT Challengers is the official professional tournament system for the VALORANT title in Vietnam, organized by publisher VNG. This tournament is part of the VALORANT Champions Tour system held in regions around the world to find the strongest representatives from North America, Europe, Japan, Latin America, the CIS region, Turkey, Brazil, South Korea, and Southeast Asia to compete at the VALORANT World Championship held at the end of 2021.
According to the plan, the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Vietnam Stage 2 Challengers will have two stages of competition, including the Qualifiers and the Finals. Thus, the two teams with the highest results at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Vietnam Stage 2 Challengers will represent the Vietnam region to participate in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: SEA Stage 2 Challengers (April 29 – May 2, 2021). In addition, the total prize pool for the Finals of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Vietnam Stage 2 Challengers will reach 540 million VND, with 200 million VND awarded to the champion.
The detailed schedule for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Vietnam Stage 2 Challengers is as follows:
1. Qualifiers:
– Registration period: March 26, 2021 – April 2, 2021.
– Competition period: April 9, 2021 – April 16, 2021.
– Maximum number of registered teams: 64.
2. Finals:
– Competition period: April 19, 2021 – April 25, 2021.
– Number of competing teams: 12.
The organizers of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Vietnam Stage 2 Challengers have also officially announced the registration requirements for VALORANT teams in Vietnam as follows:
Mandatory age to participate: 18+ (if aged 16 – 18, a guardian’s consent is required).
Registration period: March 26, 2021 – April 2, 2021.
Competition format: Double Elimination – BO3.
Competition venue: Online competition concentrated in 3 locations: Hanoi – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City.
