A few hours ago, the official Twitter page of Teamfight Tactics posted a very strange article. Instead of information about new champions or game updates, Riot introduced players to a method of “lightning fast rank climbing” with the Fortune team. The post even provided detailed instructions on how to assemble the appropriate items and a complete lineup featuring Samira at the end of the game while playing the Fortune team.

Riot Games: “Do you want to rank up in the final weeks of Season 4? Here’s a quick guide to help you climb ranks quickly with the Fortune team.”
You should use Fortune champions early in the game to gain a large amount of gold and items. Then switch to a Butcher or Sharpshooter build with Samira as the carry. If you do this correctly, you will successfully climb ranks!”

Although the above guides are extremely “thoughtful,” many alert players have noticed issues with this post. First, Riot Games has never directly posted lineup guides on their official Twitter. They only use it as a way to promote tournaments or events related to Teamfight Tactics.
The second reason is that this post was published on April Fools’ Day. Therefore, players cannot fully trust Riot’s article. Many players believe this is a “prank” from Riot, and the guide will only lead you to lose early. Some even guessed that the lead designer of Teamfight Tactics – Riot Mortdog is the one behind this joke.

If you have been playing Teamfight Tactics since the start of Season 4, you may realize that the Fortune team is extremely high-risk. You will have to sacrifice your health to secure a losing streak and significant rewards from the Fortune trait. Allowing your health to drop too low can lead you to be eliminated early, even if your lineup is stronger than other players.

Remember that to climb ranks steadily, frequently placing in the top 4 is extremely important. However, the Fortune trait does not provide players with that stability. You can achieve top 1 and bottom 8 in two different matches with the same playstyle revolving around Fortune. Therefore, the advice is for players not to follow Riot’s “curriculum” mentioned above; it is simply an April Fools’ joke.
