GAM Esports players are not the only ones missing out on MSI 2021. Recently, PSG Talon announced that their star marksman – Unified is officially “staying home to watch TV,” as he misses out on Iceland due to health issues.
It is known that Unified is facing a respiratory issue and has to take a break from competition for treatment. Therefore, PSG Talon will have to borrow player Doggo from Beyond Gaming as a replacement. Interestingly, during the recent 2020 World Championship, PSG also faced roster issues when two players, Tank and River, along with coach Bigfafa and assistant Saroo, could not complete the quarantine process in time, forcing the team to borrow players for the Play-in stage.

However, compared to GAM, PSG is still relatively “lucky,” as at least they still have a chance to participate in MSI. Additionally, the LPL Spring 2021 champion – Royal Never Give Up, recently also announced that coach Tabe cannot leave the country due to an expired visa and will have to conduct training online.
Aside from Unified and coach Tabe, the remaining teams are currently in the process of traveling to Iceland and undergoing quarantine. DWG KIA is one of the teams that arrived earliest thanks to the LCK Spring 2021 ending quite early, giving them more time to prepare for this tournament compared to their opponents.
