After a challenging start with back-to-back matches against two giants, Invictus Gaming and Team WE, Suning was presented with the opportunity to score their first points in LPL Summer 2021 by facing Ultra Prime in the third round of the group stage.
Against a weaker opponent, Suning easily secured a victory with a score of 2-0, thanks to the brilliance of mid-laner Angel.
Facing a lower-rated UP, SN somewhat addressed their early game weaknesses. In both games, mid-laner Angel made picks that favored team fights and mid-game power spikes, namely Sett and Akali.
The match itself didn’t have many noteworthy moments, as SN simply did not encounter disadvantages early on, and they leveraged their team fight strengths as the game progressed. Notably, in the second game, Angel literally “carried the team” when his Akali put on an “Akali TikTok” performance with a KDA of 14/1/4.

Angel’s performance allowed the SN players to be quite relaxed, leaving little opportunity for them to showcase their skills in this match. Nevertheless, the important thing is that SN has secured their first points in LPL Summer 2021. However, if they wish to advance further, addressing the issues in the early game will still be a puzzle that the SN coaching staff needs to solve soon, as UP was not a strong enough test to truly gauge the capabilities of SofM and his teammates.
