Few would have expected that the clash between 2 teams considered contenders for the top 4 positions in the 2021 LCK Summer before the tournament began would now be a match between 2 teams at the bottom of the standings. Hanwha Life Esports finally secured their second win of the season, while their opponents – DragonX, remain deep in a crisis with no way out.
After 2 games, HLE easily crushed DRX with a completely one-sided match. Thus, the most notable highlight of this match only appeared when HLE’s mid-laner Chovy officially reached the milestone of 1000 kills in the LCK.
With this achievement, Chovy becomes the 15th player in LCK history to own 1000 kills. Previously, Peanut was the 14th name to reach this milestone. Notably, Chovy is the only player from the 2000s generation (born 2000 and later) to appear on this list. Perhaps we do not need the 1000 kill leaderboard to understand Chovy’s class, however, this milestone still leaves a significant impression, showcasing how great the potential of this young star is.

It’s just unfortunate that Chovy’s 1000 kills milestone comes at a time when HLE is struggling to escape the bottom of the standings. With the new operational model, Chovy is certainly not worried about relegation, but if this poor situation continues, perhaps Chovy should seek a new destination to realize his dream of conquering titles.
