Yasuo
The strongest point of “the deity” in Teamfight Tactics Season 5 is his ability to deal excellent true damage over time. Even though Yasuo received a slight nerf in Patch 11.14, this unit remains a strong carry that you should invest in during the mid-game. With a price of only 3 gold, leveling Yasuo to 2 stars early will help players achieve a winning streak quite easily. Consequently, players will hold a significant advantage in health to secure a spot in the top 4.

In addition to acquiring Yasuo early, you should also aim for a composition revolving around “the deity” when you have a Recurve Bow. The equipment duo of Rapid Firecannon and Runaan’s Hurricane will help this unit deal damage more safely and effectively. Moreover, the Spellslinger Gloves are also an item you should consider as they will maximize Yasuo’s damage output. In summary, playing around Yasuo will help you easily make it to the top 4 and rank up more smoothly.

Zyra
With a price of 3 gold like Yasuo, Zyra shares a similar strength in the mid-game. Furthermore, Zyra’s annoyance comes from the fact that this champion always targets the farthest enemy with her abilities. If you successfully upgrade Zyra to 3 stars and have multiple items to increase her magic damage, this unit can easily “blow away” the enemy’s backline carry.

Zyra’s advantage over Yasuo is that this unit belongs to the Dragon Tribe, making the upgrade process much easier. If you plan to play a composition centered around Zyra, the advice is to activate the 3 Dragon Tribe bonus as soon as possible. In the mid-game, you should add Brand, Nunu & Willump to activate the Sorcerer and Brawler effects, and prepare to transition to a Zombie team. In the late game, Ivern and Volibear are always strong choices you should acquire.

Karma
Although she doesn’t possess a tribe – system that provides strong damage, Karma is still a very powerful magic carry that you should consider. Karma’s advantage over Vel’Koz is that she is harder to counter as this unit randomly selects targets when casting her abilities. Moreover, Karma also has the Sorcerer trait and excellent energy regeneration effects, meaning this champion is not overly reliant on mana-increasing items, especially at the 4-unit threshold.

In addition to these strengths, Karma can fit into many compositions such as Divine, 4 Sorcerers, and even Celestials. Therefore, the advice is to buy Karma as soon as possible, unless you are running a composition heavily focused on physical damage and cannot “pivot.” If you do not plan to use Karma until the late game, you can also use this unit as a temporary carry to hold items for Vel’Koz, Teemo…
