Recreation
Currently, the Recreation composition is utilizing a hyper-roll strategy to get Vladimir to 3 stars as quickly as possible. After that, this unit will serve as the main damage dealer, thanks to its strong healing abilities from skills and the item Rabadon’s Deathcap. However, in the upcoming Season 5.5, the Recreation team has completely altered its gameplay to focus more on the late game. The reason is that Riot has removed the Shadow Tribe, and Rabadon’s Deathcap, meaning players can no longer use Vladimir as the primary damage dealer.

In Season 5.5, the gameplay of the Recreation composition in the early and mid-game is somewhat similar to the Divine team as you will also focus on key units like Soraka, Riven, and Nidalee. The main difference is that you will use Rakan as the carry at level 7 with this unit’s strong area healing ability. This will help players in Teamfight Tactics earn a significant amount of gold to achieve the 4 Recreation threshold by the end of the game by adding Heimerdinger and Ivern.

Rangers
The most effective gameplay for the current Ranger composition is to utilize the Dragon Tribe effect to upgrade Ashe to 3 stars as early as possible. After that, you’ll aim to complete the 4 Rangers threshold at the end of the game to maximize Ashe’s damage output. Although in Season 5.5 both the Dragon Tribe and Ashe have not been altered much, this champion has had to yield the carry position to another unit, Aphelios. The reason lies in Riot buffing the skill damage of this unit too strongly.

In the upcoming Season 5.5, Ranger players will focus on energy-boosting items and damage-dealing capabilities for Aphelios. Items like Infinity Edge, Spear of Shojin, and even Glove of Thorns are prioritized by players. Meanwhile, the items built from Wooden Bow are not very suitable for the damage-dealing gameplay of Aphelios. You can even just use the 2 Ranger threshold and take more useful effects like Spirit Walker, Mystic when playing this composition.
Undying
The current Undying composition revolves around Dark items and proves to be extremely strong in the late game when players complete their composition and items. However, the effects of the Undying tribe will be completely revamped in the upcoming Season 5.5 as Riot removes the Dark Equipment system. Specifically, the Undying effect will provide champions with physical attack power and additional skill damage. After each round of victory, this stat will increase by 10% and can stack up to 5 times.

Because of this change, the Undying composition will play quite similarly to the Warrior team in Season 4, which focuses on stats to snowball the game. This means you must upgrade cheap but quality units like Vayne, Thresh, and Hecarim to successfully operate the Undying team. This change makes the Undying composition a more challenging team-comp, relying more on “luck” rather than being able to “spam” it comfortably in every game like the current meta.
