After the launch of season 5.5 of Teamfight Tactics, we can see that the meta is shifting significantly towards strong physical carries. The downside is that units like Nocturne, Akshan, Lucian, Aphelios… are fiercely contested. If you want to climb ranks without facing much difficulty in building your composition, the Rebirth – Guardian team comp below is an extremely powerful choice. This composition was discovered by a Challenger player on the Chinese server during season 5.5.

Essentially, the principle of this composition relies on the strong tankiness and healing of Irelia and Rakan to hold the front line. Soraka will play the role of the main carry and counter the opponents with items that significantly increase her ability damage. The crowd control will be handled by budget yet quality units like Pyke and Kennen. You should also add Nidalee at level 6 to activate additional effects from the Celestial and Warrior traits, providing another secondary carry.

For building the composition, you should start with Guardian units like Olaf, Irelia, and Udyr. Then at level 4, players should add Senna or Pyke to activate the Guardian effect and help Irelia and Olaf deal damage more effectively. By level 5, you can replace Udyr with Kennen, Senna with Rakan, and add Soraka to the team.

Moving into the mid-game, you need to level up to 6 quickly to increase your chances of upgrading Irelia and Soraka. By using Soraka as the main carry, you can adopt a slow roll strategy at level 6 to level this champion to 3 stars. The best-case scenario is to also roll into a 3-star Irelia and have a very strong tank unit. As mentioned earlier, you should also buy Nidalee at this stage to replace Olaf.

After achieving a 3-star Soraka, what you should do is consistently buy experience and level up to 8 as soon as possible. With Rakan and Soraka already in hand, the player’s goal at this point is to buy Ivern and Heimerdinger to activate the 4 Rebirth effect. In addition to enhancing Soraka’s healing and energy, these units also provide crowd control and good damage potential late game. Thus, having them will ensure you a position in the top 4.

When playing this composition, your priority item will be the Giant’s Belt to craft Warmog’s Armor for Irelia. Additionally, this item can also be used to create Redemption and increase the team’s resilience. Rakan is the best unit to hold Redemption in this composition.
With Soraka as the main carry, items that significantly boost her spell damage like Rabadon’s Deathcap or Archangel’s Staff are optimal choices in the later stages. You can build the Staff of the Ascended if you are confident in Soraka’s energy regeneration, otherwise, a Blue Buff is also a great option.
