Legion
After the launch of Teamfight Tactics season 5.5, the Legion system has been evaluated quite poorly. Despite providing a significant attack speed boost, the healing effect derived from casting spells made Legion units overly dependent on items to sustain in fights. Therefore, in the upcoming 11.16 patch, Riot has revamped the Legion system by removing the healing ability after casting spells. Instead, Legion champions will have an innate healing ability based on the damage dealt by their attacks and skills.

This revamp promises to make milestones like 4/6 Legion much more appealing and worthwhile for players. With the inherent healing effect, Legion champions will no longer need to rely on items like Bloodthirster or Infinity Edge to withstand fights effectively. It is highly likely that the 6 Legion composition will make a comeback in the 11.16 patch instead of being neglected by players as it is now.
Celestial – Sorcerer
In season 5.5, the strength of Karma was no longer highly regarded by players as stronger carries like Lucian and Fiddlesticks were introduced. Furthermore, with the popularity of the Assassin composition, a team comp lacking solid backline defense like Celestial became too easy to take down. These reasons have led to the Celestial – Sorcerer team featuring Karma as a carry becoming extremely weak in season 5.5.

However, in patch 11.16, Riot has decided to buff Karma’s damage from her spells at 1 and 2 stars. Although she only received a 15 and 20 damage increase at levels 1 and 2 stars respectively, we must remember that Karma has a self-energy reduction effect while casting skills, allowing her to cast spells continuously. Therefore, this buff will significantly enhance Karma’s damage output in the mid-game. Coupled with a slight buff for Garen, the Celestial team is expected to be much stronger in patch 11.16.
Devil
According to insights from Teamfight Tactics Project Director Riot Mortdog, they will seek to reduce the reliance on Tristana within the Devil composition. Consequently, in patch 11.16, the additional attack speed from the Devil effect at 2/4 units will be increased to allow the entire composition to deal more damage. However, Tristana will see a slight reduction in attack speed after using her Rocket Jump skill.

This change promises to reinvigorate the playstyle centered around one-cost carries like Ziggs and Kled in the upcoming patch 11.16. It is highly likely that the strategy of equipping 1-2 Statikk Shivs on Ziggs will shine, as the additional attack speed means the item’s effect will trigger more frequently. In the mid and late game stages, the Devil team will also not lack damage, as the duration of Lulu’s attack speed buff will increase by 1 second in the next version.
