In fact, when season 5.5 of “TFT” launched, GoDlike achieved a top 1 Challenger rank. Besides the meta compositions, GoDlike often uses the Nidalee – Armored team composition to climb ranks. So what makes this composition strong and how do you build it? Let’s find out.
The truth is that in the current season 5.5, players are fiercely competing for 3-cost champions. The reason is that 3-cost champions play a crucial role in shaping and building gameplay for players. For example, you cannot play an effective Zombie team without Nunu & Willump, or core champions like Yasuo, Riven, Zyra, and Miss Fortune can deal a ton of damage.
Among the current 3-cost units, Nidalee seems to be somewhat “neglected” by players. This is actually a strength of this unit as Nidalee won’t be fiercely contested, allowing you to upgrade her very early. Moreover, Nidalee as a carry already has the ability to reach the opponent’s backline, and you can be assured that you will take down the enemy’s carry even without playing an Assassin.
The best start for this composition is to activate the Warrior trait early with units like Udyr, Olaf, or Irelia. The perfect scenario for players would be to receive Nidalee from the reward chest after the first 3 rounds of monsters. If not, you should buy experience in rounds 1-3 to increase the chance of 3-cost champions appearing in the next round.
Moving into the mid-game, what you need to do now is buy all the Nidalee units you see in the shop. To protect the Warrior units, GoDlike advises that you should try to buy Nautilus and activate the 2 Knight trait. Essentially, Nautilus also possesses the Armored trait, so acquiring this unit early is only beneficial for players.
Once you reach level 7, players should stop leveling up and start rolling slowly to find a way to push Nidalee to 3 stars. If you can buy multiple Riven, don’t overlook this unit as her stun capability is extremely useful in the mid-game. During the rolling process, players should also try to replace 1-cost Warrior units with stronger versions like Irelia, Jax…
Once you’ve upgraded Nidalee to 3 stars, what you need to do now is quickly reach level 8. The two most valuable additions at level 8 will be Galio and Rell to enhance the team’s defensive capabilities. Additionally, don’t forget to purchase Rakan to provide wide-area healing and activate the 3 Guardian trait.
In terms of essential items, Nidalee needs the Justice Hand and Guinsoo’s Rageblade the most. These items will significantly enhance Nidalee’s damage dealing after transforming into a cougar in the mid-game. If you can combine items like Runaan’s Hurricane, Blue Bow…, then you should equip them to Jax or Riven to provide additional carry power in the late game.
