With the results of the Playoffs this afternoon, Worlds 2021 welcomes back a familiar name – EDward Gaming. With a swift victory of 3-0 in the Losers Final against Team WE, EDG has officially become the second team to secure a spot at Worlds 2021, and the Grand Final against FPX will also serve as a contest for the number one seed from LPL.

For EDG, this team simply returns to a stage they are very familiar with. In fact, individuals like Scout, Viper, and Meiko are no strangers to this international tournament. However, for Flandre, this is truly an important milestone in his career. Worlds 2021 marks the first time the EDG top laner has the chance to compete in an international event.
Five years after the legendary climb of Snake Esports, Flandre has officially fulfilled the unfinished dream of his former teammates. After SofM and TANK had the opportunity to participate in Worlds 2020, Flandre is the third member of the 2016 SS lineup to join the tournament they missed five years ago.

Due to this significant milestone, alongside the celebration of EDG fans, Flandre also received congratulations from LNG (former Snake) fans, as they witnessed their once-idol have the chance to shine at the world’s premier League of Legends tournament.
Although it is a pity that SofM and Flandre – the two remaining members of SS, are still competing professionally and cannot attend Worlds 2021 in Europe together, fans from Duy Cau Giay may have another option to support at this tournament, as Flandre is also a name that has gained immense affection from the Vietnamese League of Legends community.
