As the king of the Worlds arena, securing a ticket back to the top stage of League of Legends is something that makes Faker feel satisfied at this moment, despite just missing out on his 10th LCK championship.
In an excited interview with Inven Global, the Undead Demon King expressed immense confidence in another victory for Korean League of Legends on the international stage, as he believes that the current LCK possesses a formidable lineup and is not afraid of any opponents, especially in the mid lane.

Specifically, Faker stated: “I believe that the mid laners of LCK participating in Worlds 2021 will be the strongest roster in history. All four of us (ShowMaker, Faker, Bdd, Chovy) have played for many years and understand what we need to do to win. We also know that we need to be proud representatives of LCK.”
Additionally, Faker expressed his eagerness for a rematch against DWG KIA: “I want to compete against all the number one seeds from various regions. And I’m especially looking forward to a rematch with DWG KIA. I’m very disappointed with my performance in the LCK Finals. Therefore, I want to perform better at Worlds.”

At Worlds 2021, the four representatives of the LCK participating in the tournament are DWG KIA, Gen.G Esports, T1, and Hanwha Life Esports. Although these four teams have shown different faces in the recent summer split, they share one common point: they currently possess the best mid lane stars in Korea in recent years.
Faker, ShowMaker, Chovy, and Bdd are all experienced players who have fought in major tournaments over many seasons and achieved certain successes. In fact, ShowMaker is the reigning champion of Worlds, while Faker holds the record for the most championships won at this tournament. Therefore, Faker’s confidence is absolutely justified, as the mid lane is always considered the most crucial link in the current game meta, and having four superstar mid laners with extensive battle experience will significantly enhance the chances of LCK winning the tournament this year.
