Recently, T1 fans and the international League of Legends community were shocked to receive distressing news when the South Korean organization announced that one of their staff members had tested positive for COVID-19. T1 stated that after receiving the test result, the team proceeded to take all players and staff for urgent testing at the nearest medical center.
Currently, the players have not shown any signs of infection, but everyone must wait for the medical test results to confirm whether the virus has spread within the team.

This news is causing great concern among fans. Besides the condition of the staff member who tested positive for COVID-19, this issue also poses a threat to the health of the players, as well as their ability to participate in the 2021 Worlds held in Iceland, especially with the tournament starting in less than 2 weeks.
In this context, Faker recently posted a story, seemingly to reassure fans. T1 is set to kick off their Worlds journey in the group stage, which begins in early October. If the test results are negative, meaning all members test negative, they will still be able to depart for Iceland as planned.

Currently, fans are holding their breath waiting for the latest updates about T1, as the worst-case scenario cannot be ruled out. If that happens, T1 and Riot Games will have to implement immediate contingency plans. The group stage of the Worlds is scheduled to take place on October 11, but teams are expected to depart by the end of this week to undergo health quarantine procedures upon entering Iceland.
