Recently, Team Secret surprised fans by simultaneously announcing the departure of three players, H3, Artifact, and Slayder, while the fate of the VCS Summer 2021 remains undecided.
Particularly in the case of Artifact, as this player has been closely associated with the TS lineup since the days of FFQ, and can be considered an icon of this team. Immediately after Team Secret announced the departure of their brightest star, Teacher Ba – the founder of SBTC Esports, quickly made a “call” to his former student to join this team. It’s unclear whether this teacher was joking or serious, but this invitation has genuinely excited the SBTC fan community, as it seems to reflect the wishes of many Tam Kê fans at this time.
Similar to Celebrity, Artifact is also a former student of Teacher Ba during their time together at FFQ, and furthermore, he is one of the top mid-laners in Vietnam today. In the context that SBTC has lost numerous superstars like Zeros, Yijin, Dia1… the prospect of Artifact joining Tam Kê is something all their fans are eagerly anticipating.
Of course, aside from Teacher Ba’s playful status update, there hasn’t been any information indicating that SE is actively recruiting Artifact, but it is clear that this is entirely feasible, and it is not out of the question that we will hear similar “rumors” in the future.
Some other opinions suggest that Artifact joining SE might feel somewhat “forced”, as Dia1’s one-year ban has already passed halfway, and this player will only miss one season of the VCS Spring 2022 (assuming this tournament takes place). However, the absence of the team’s number one star for even just one season could create many issues for SE, and Artifact may be the answer to those problems.
Even if Dia1 returns and if Artifact does indeed join SE, there is nothing negative about this team having two of the top mid-laners in Vietnam at the same time.
