Yesterday, on September 26, all four LCK teams officially set off for Iceland to prepare for the 2021 League of Legends World Championship. On the day of their flight, Faker, the captain of T1, also expressed his excitement, sharing that it had been a long time since he experienced the feeling of flying abroad for a competition.
If even the “Chairman” is feeling nostalgic, what about the players experiencing international competition for the first time, like Canna, Oner, and Gumayusi? For Canna in particular, not only is this his first time participating in a major international tournament after two years of professional play, but it is also his first experience… flying on an airplane. It’s understandable since Canna has not had the opportunity to travel far from home to use this mode of transportation.
And so, a “super cute” story was born. Perhaps due to his excitement, Canna kept messaging his mom and sister to show off that “I’m about to fly,” even sharing with his sister that there is Wi-Fi on the plane, so he could message on KakaoTalk, along with sending many photos of the view from the airplane window.

He was also excited to text his mom:
“Mom!”
“I’m on the plane now.”
“I’m really in the sky.”
“I’m flying!”

The message from this 21-year-old guy, full of innocence, instantly “stole the hearts” of netizens with its cuteness. Previously, Canna had made his fans laugh many times with stories about “flying for the first time,” and even during a livestream, he almost got tricked by a viewer into thinking that to go to the bathroom on the plane, he had to… ask the flight attendants for permission.
Many T1 fans are still betting on whether Canna actually followed that advice and asked for permission to go to the bathroom on that flight. But above all, fans have even more reasons to be excited, as Faker and his teammates are preparing for a return to the World Championship after a season away.
