After more than a month of intense competition, the VCS Winter 2021 has officially concluded. The final match stretched over 5 games, with CERBERUS Esports ultimately taking the win. GAM Esports has officially become the former champion of the VCS, while “Thần Khuyển” claims its first VCS championship in history after 3 years since its debut at the highest level of Vietnamese League of Legends.

However, amidst the joyful atmosphere of CES players and fans, the VCS community is also concerned about another issue. Specifically, after losing to Burst The Sky Esports in the 3rd-4th place match, Luxury Esports was accused of match-fixing. Rather than remaining silent or blocking negative comments as is typically done, the admin of LX’s fanpage directly confronted these anti-fans in a rather… “rough” manner.

Although the comment was deleted just a few minutes later, it is clear that the handling by LX’s fanpage admins was incredibly unprofessional and emotionally charged. It is understandable that the whole team had a tough season, and losing is something no one wants to experience, especially when being falsely accused of match-fixing is incredibly frustrating. However, the fanpage is the face of an esports team on social media, where the team interacts with fans. The emotional response from LX’s fanpage admin could potentially harm the team’s credibility and image in the eyes of the community.

Furthermore, a segment of anti-fans in the VCS is truly causing a headache for the Vietnamese League of Legends community with their extremely uncivilized behavior on social media, especially towards losing teams. These individuals have no qualms about throwing insults and are even ready to lash out when someone comments on or criticizes their uncivilized conduct. More seriously, these thoughtless actions have often contributed to ruining the careers of players, especially young players who lack the experience to cope with pressure.
