The 2022 season is just days away from officially starting. Currently, the two regions with the largest League of Legends scene in the world, LCK and LPL, have announced the official schedule for the Spring Split and finalized their team rosters. This is set to be a highly anticipated season, especially as most teams have seen significant changes after the recent offseason transfer period.

Recently, to warm up the atmosphere for the new season, former FunPlus Phoenix star Doinb revealed the name he considers the strongest team in the upcoming LCK Spring 2022. According to him, it is not DWG KIA or T1, but Gen.G Esports that he believes is the strongest team, based on scrim results with other teams: “Gen.G is unbeatable in scrims. Who says they only have a 90% win rate? It has to be 100%. That rate means they can only lose 1 game a day. Chovy – Peanut are unmatched. Chovy likes playing AD mid while Peanut prefers AP jungle. Chovy also often ganks bot in the early game.”

Doinb reveals that Gen.G has an almost perfect win rate and believes they are the strongest team in LCK Spring 2022

In the offseason transfer period at the end of 2021, Gen.G was one of the teams that underwent significant personnel changes. They nearly cleared out their entire main roster, keeping only Ruler. Notably, Gen.G brought in Chovy, the former mid-laner from Hanwha Life Esports, to replace Bdd. Additionally, Gen.G also acquired Peanut, the MVP of the Summer 2021 regular season, to pair with Chovy, and according to what Doinb revealed, this duo seems to be coordinating quite well.

Of course, the win rate in scrims is only a relative measure to evaluate a team’s strength. To get the most complete view, one must witness that team performing in actual matches. However, based on what Doinb has revealed, it is clear that the form and mentality of Gen.G players are very high. In the upcoming season, with quality teammates surrounding Chovy, he can fully unleash all of his capabilities with the goal, of course, being nothing less than the championships, both domestically and internationally.
