As we know, in patch 12.1, Riot Games made significant adjustments to the Teleport spell, allowing it to only be used on allied towers before the 14-minute mark. This change completely altered the meta of League of Legends, especially in tournaments, compared to the previous season 11. Instead of opting for early skirmish compositions in the Bot Lane, most professional teams shifted towards a gameplay style focused on the laning phase.

There would be nothing unusual if Riot’s change worked as theoretically intended. However, recently at the LPL Spring 2022 tournament, this summoner spell encountered a severe bug. Specifically, during the match between OMG and AL, player Zdz, using Sett, astonished everyone with a Teleport to his base while being at the Ancient Relic. Upon reviewing the replay, it was revealed that somehow, the Teleport spell could be used on Corki’s Package.

This feature was so surprising that even the commentators of the LPL tournament were unaware of it. Even someone like “bug master” Vandiril, who specializes in finding bugs in League of Legends, was incredibly surprised and couldn’t believe this error had occurred.

What’s notable here is the absurdity of this bug, as theoretically, no other champion (besides Corki himself) can interact with the Package for any actions. It’s important to remember that Teleport is essentially a targeted ability, and it makes no sense to be able to use it on an object that cannot be clicked on.
Regarding the impact of this bug, it could completely change the outcome of matches when a player wastes a summoner spell with a very long cooldown. Keep in mind that the current meta includes both Teleport and Corki as crucial elements in professional matches. Hopefully, Riot Games will quickly find a way to fix this issue as it can have extremely negative effects on the top-tier tournaments worldwide.
