The highlight match of the final day of the third week of LPL Spring 2022 was the showdown between Royal Never Give Up and Bilibili Gaming. While RNG is the team carrying the pride of the LPL with the motto “only using local players,” BLG is seen as one of the “all-star” teams of the 2022 LPL season. In particular, many fans were looking forward to Uzi making his debut on the day of the reunion with his old team.

In game 1, RNG and BLG maintained a nearly balanced game throughout the laning phase. In fact, it wasn’t until the 28th minute that the two teams had only 6 kills (4 for BLG and 2 for RNG). BLG even secured a Baron, but Uzi’s team couldn’t capitalize on this advantage. Gwen with “200 years of experience” in Bin’s hands was terrifying, especially in the fight near the Dragon pit. Bin applied pressure that allowed his teammates to thrive in team fights. In the 36th minute, RNG finished the game and took the lead after a perfect clean sweep.
BLG fought back in game 2, with players like Doggo, Fofo, and Weiwei dazzling the star-studded roster of RNG. Notably, Tryndamere in Breath’s hands displayed remarkable prowess, despite Bin’s Graves having an impressive “spin” moment. The unusual Rek’Sai pick from BLG was ineffective early on but became better as the game progressed. With Tryndamere’s rampage, Jinx in Doggo’s hands was given the freedom to deal damage. BLG equalized and brought the match back to square one.
Moving to the decisive match, Bin once again shone with his signature pick, Camille. His aggressive dives into the enemy contributed to giving the remaining core members of RNG space to shine. On a day when both Xiaohu and GALA were not performing at their peak, it can be said that the rookie from Weibo Gaming played a crucial role in securing victory for RNG.
With a convincing victory over BLG, RNG concluded the final week of play before the Lunar New Year break perfectly. Notably, the excellent performance of rookie Bin is what RNG fans and LPL viewers wanted to see, especially since RNG’s schedule after the Lunar New Year will be extremely challenging.
However, one factor that made the match feel incomplete was Uzi’s continued absence. At this point, the hopes of LPL fans for the “Super Marksman” to make an official debut after returning to the professional arena seem increasingly distant, or even impossible, at least in the near future.
