Ahri
The last time Ahri appeared in Teamfight Tactics before Season 6.5 was in Season 4. At that time, this champion was a unit capable of dealing incredibly high damage with her Spirit Bomb ability fully charged. Ahri’s damage was so significant that this unit didn’t even need the Mage trait to “wipe out” the enemy team when equipped with items like Guardian Angel and Gauntlet of Protection. There was even a time when Ahri was prioritized for quick energy charging.

Perhaps feeling that her Season 4 version was too overpowered, Riot has adjusted Ahri’s mechanics in Season 6.5 to make this unit more balanced. Basically, Ahri remains a 4-cost champion and plays a key role in the Mage team. However, this champion will have a stacking mechanism to cast multiple Magic Orbs proportional to the number of times she uses her ability. Therefore, Ahri will need Blue Buff and energy regeneration factors to deal effective damage in the upcoming Season 6.5.
Tryndamere
It’s no exaggeration to say that in Season 4.5, Tryndamere was one of the strongest physical carry units with extremely painful critical strikes and the ability to dash across the battlefield to reach opponents. Even in Season 4.5, Tryndamere had the Butcher trait with a significant boost in attack damage and lifesteal. Therefore, just based on his tribe – trait, Tryndamere was capable of dealing incredibly high damage, meaning that even when equipped with many defensive items, this unit could still “carry the team” strongly.

Moving into Season 6.5, Riot has reduced the value of this unit to 3 gold, and the tribe – trait of Tryndamere no longer provides comprehensive stats as before. This unit can have high attack speed from the tribe – trait but will need Infinity Edge to ensure damage output. Nevertheless, Tryndamere’s skills remain very powerful for a 3-cost champion, so this champion is likely to be an excellent reroll option for Chemtech compositions in the future.
Draven
Since his debut in Season 1 to the present, Draven has always been a powerful physical carry whenever Riot includes him in Teamfight Tactics. Even in the upcoming Season 6.5, Draven boasts a series of dominant effects from the unique VIP mechanism of the Elegant trait. When appearing in the shop with VIP status, Draven will gain infinite attack range and the ability to bypass 30% of the opponent’s armor. This allows Draven to take down the enemy team without needing to move.

Because of this dominance, players using the Elegant composition often have to endure a losing streak early on, leveling up to increase the chances of Draven appearing, especially in VIP status. Additionally, VIP Draven is also an excellent “pivot” option late in the game if you can’t acquire key carries like Sivir, Irelia, etc. Remember that simply reaching 3 Elegant units activates the VIP effect, allowing players to add more units to protect Draven for maximum damage output.
