In the history of League of Legends in general and LCK in particular, if we were to name a player deserving of the title GOAT (Greatest Of All Times), everyone would immediately think of Faker. Not only is he an icon for T1, but Faker is also a legend in the League of Legends community and esports in general. In fact, as the CEO of T1 has acknowledged, Faker’s name has transcended esports to become an international celebrity.

Recently, Inven Global published an article listing the achievements that Faker has accomplished in LCK over more than 10 years of competing in professional League of Legends. The statistics may even surprise Faker’s fans as they can hardly believe that one player could achieve so many records, many of which might take a very long time to be broken.
Firstly, Faker absolutely dominates in the number of matches played in LCK with 696 games and is also the player with the most wins – 461. It’s important to note that Faker’s contemporary, Deft, who started his professional career at the same time, has only played 577 matches and has 346 victories. Moreover, Deft is unlikely to catch up with Faker’s achievements as his team DRX has been inconsistent, and Deft himself has considered retiring after the 2022 season.

Additionally, Faker and Deft are the top two players in terms of kills, with 2464 and 1978 respectively. Furthermore, Faker demonstrates that he is always a target for opponents as he holds the record for the most deaths in LCK with 1418, followed by GorillA, the former support of ROX Tigers, with 1258.
However, there is one statistic where Faker is unmatched and will likely remain so in the LCK era: the number of LCK championships and the number of finals appearances in the highest level of League of Legends in Korea. Specifically, Faker has won 9 LCK championships throughout his career, and notably, he achieved these 9 titles in 11 finals appearances (which is also the most finals appearances among all players currently active in LCK). Just considering the win rate in LCK finals, Faker has achieved over 81%.

However, this does not mean that Faker has no rivals. Firstly, in terms of the number of championships in LCK, Faker is currently trailing his former coach kkOma. The former T1 coach has achieved 11 LCK championships throughout his illustrious coaching career, of which 9 were won while coaching his star pupil Faker. The other 2 championships were won with DWG KIA.

Next, in terms of win rate, Faker is also trailing behind his close former teammate Bengi. Bengi has secured 124 wins in 172 matches, achieving a win rate of 72.1%, significantly higher than Faker’s 66.2%. However, since Bengi played for a shorter time than Faker (the former “God of the Jungle” of SKT T1 played for about 4 years), this comparison may be somewhat unfair.

It can be seen that throughout his illustrious career, Faker has amassed numerous titles and achieved countless records that would be the dream of any professional League of Legends player. However, currently, the “Demon King” is still battling alongside his younger teammates for greater heights in the future, and it is certain that Faker will continue to deepen his records, achieve even more accomplishments, and embellish his already magnificent career.
