Swift Card Rotation
During the testing phase for season 6.5, the Swift Card Rotation core was the most mentioned upgrade by many players. The reason is that this core can help you acquire many valuable units early on, even 5-cost champions by stage 3-4. However, in reality, this core ranks among the worst upgrades in Teamfight Tactics with an average position of 5.14. This means that choosing this core almost guarantees you will fall out of the top 4 and lose rank points.

The biggest downside of this core is its high degree of “luck” and the units evolved after using Swift Card Rotation may not match the items you currently have. Moreover, even if you manage to get a 5-cost champion from this core, most of them are only at level 1 star. Clearly, at levels 6-7, upgrading that 5-cost unit to 2 stars is extremely difficult, resulting in you easily losing matches against reroll teams and getting eliminated early.
Capitalist
By providing players with 12 gold right away, the Capitalist core allows players to accumulate a significant amount of money and build their economy much earlier than other players. Therefore, for many gamers, this core is considered a very strong upgrade worth having. However, in reality, this core has quite poor stats and is ranked D (weak) among the hextech upgrades of season 6.5.

The reason the Capitalist core is ranked low is that it only provides gold to players and does not directly strengthen the team. In an era where many reroll teams like Talon, Twitch, Ashe… dominate the current meta, playing slowly and building economy gradually will only lead to losses and significant health points lost. Additionally, this core is also an extremely poor upgrade in the mid and late game when opponents have breakthroughs in strength while it only brings in gold.
Ascendancy
At first glance, the effect of increasing 50% damage for the entire team may lead many to mistakenly believe that this is a strong tech core. However, with the activation condition being 15 seconds after the battle begins, the Ascendancy core is currently regarded as one of the worst upgrades. This is an excessively long time, and if activated, only a few champions will remain on the field, making its value extremely low.

Furthermore, with the current reroll meta, each round is relatively short, usually under 15 seconds. With the removal of units capable of continuously healing teammates like Taric and Janna, players have lost some of the best tools to keep their team alive. As a result, your team will be quickly eliminated and will not be able to utilize the theoretically significant damage output of the Ascendancy core.
