For T1 and their fans, the LCK Spring 2022 might just be the most perfect season so far. Every time Faker and his teammates compete, fans can feel the excitement and tension, but in the end, T1 still takes down their opponents in the most spectacular way. Not to mention, on their journey to maintain an unbeaten streak of 14 victories, they have defeated many strong opponents like Gen.G Esports and DWG KIA… For T1 fans, the current goal is to win the LCK Spring 2022 championship along with a spot at MSI 2022 right in their home country of South Korea.

With their current impressive record, LCK fans are looking forward to T1 defeating the representative from the LPL at MSI 2022 and further, at Worlds 2022, to reclaim glory for Korean League of Legends. However, recently, in an interview with reporter Ashley Kang, Faker revealed the opponent he wishes to triumph over the most. Surprisingly, it is not a name from the LPL.
“I most want to face the G2 Esports team from 2019. I have lost many times to G2, and this will be the best chance for revenge. Besides, I also want to meet Bjergsen again. I wonder how he is doing now. So I also want to meet him at MSI.” – Faker shared.
However, given the current situation, Faker’s desire seems hard to realize. Two G2 players from 2019, Caps and Jankos, are still competing in the “circus” colors, but Perkz, Wunder, and Mikyx have all left the team. And with each region allowed only one representative at MSI, it seems that Faker will have to wait until Worlds 2022 for the chance to face the G2 members who caused him pain during MSI 2019 and Worlds 2019.

Additionally, Faker also mentioned that he feels T1 can reach a milestone of 18 consecutive victories and finish the group stage in the best way possible. Faker shared about T1’s macro play—considered a crucial factor in the team’s victories: “When it comes to macro, we think the most important thing is that everyone must participate together. And when someone makes a decision, the whole team will try to coordinate. Even if that decision turns out to be a mistake, the team will still follow it at all costs. It’s almost instinct.”

Currently, T1 is regarded as one of the teams with the best macro capabilities and teamwork in the League of Legends scene. If Faker and his teammates can truly reach 18 consecutive victories, win the LCK Spring 2022 championship, successfully avenge the members of G2 2019, and clinch the championship at MSI 2022 and further at Worlds 2022, this would be the most perfect season in the history of this traditional team.
