An LCK Team Surrenders Early
As of now, the 2025 Regular Seasons have just begun the second half of Round 1-2, which determines the MSI 2025 qualification spots. This means the tournament is not even halfway through its journey. However, recently, one LCK team seems to have already “raised the white flag” for the entire season as their captain implied that the team is too weak. That team is KT Rolster following Bdd’s statement.
Accordingly, KT’s Mid Laner bitterly admitted, “It seems that the team doesn’t have enough capability to stand on the big stage.” Bdd himself is one of the most experienced players on KT currently. But he is also the one under the most pressure, following KT’s poor performance since the beginning of the LCK Cup 2025 up to now.

Moreover, in the recent loss to T1 at KT Homeground, Bdd reached a milestone of 2,500 kills in LCK history. This is a notable milestone. However, KT’s poor performance, along with the 0-2 defeat to T1, overshadowed Bdd’s achievement: “I really wanted to win; that was an important match. Therefore, I am very disappointed with this loss.
From a Team That Always Challenged the ‘Giants’ in the LCK, KT Is Becoming Weaker
While teams like HLE, Gen.G, and T1 always have quality players to compete for titles, KT has at least maintained its position as a challenger for many years. However, in the 2025 season, it seems that KT’s players are simply “too exhausted.” They have even turned themselves into a much weaker team, with personnel changes. Bdd is making an effort, but just him alone will never be enough.

Bdd’s statement is not necessarily a pessimistic view but a confirmation of the harsh reality at KT right now. Bdd himself explained that he used the term “big stage” to refer to KT’s home stage. But everyone understands that this player likely feels exhausted, especially after matches where he performed well but could not bring victory to his team.
