Perhaps even now, many LCK fans in particular and the global League of Legends community in general still feel quite… resentful towards Fredit BRION when the rules of LCK Spring 2022 changed too late. This caused BRO to compete with a Challengers team against T1 and be disqualified in a match against Gen.G Esports due to the impact of COVID-19. Nevertheless, the results are in, and despite putting BRO at a significant disadvantage, this team had to accept it.

With having to face many strong opponents and also being disqualified from one match, BRO’s chances of making it to the playoffs were incredibly low. But that was before the final match of the LCK Spring 2022 group stage for ‘Sir’ Morgan and his teammates.
It was thought that DWG KIA would have an easy victory just like they did in the first round, but BRO proved that when they are at full strength and pushed to the wall, they can absolutely pull off a surprise. Not to mention, in the decisive second game, DK didn’t even ban Renekton – Morgan’s highly favored champion, giving him the opportunity to shine. BRO completely destroyed DK and confidently advanced to the playoffs without caring about the results of the final matches on Sunday, March 20th.
Witnessing BRO obliterating DK, the League of Legends community couldn’t help but buzz. After all, ShowMaker and his teammates are still the reigning LCK champions of 2021. Moreover, this is also BRO’s first time advancing to the playoffs of any LCK season. Interestingly, many comments jokingly stated that “T1 should feel lucky not to face ‘Sir'” or “Faker and his teammates need to be careful because ‘Sir’ Morgan is no longer happy.”

But it can be said that this victory is a well-deserved reward for BRO’s efforts in LCK Spring 2022. Starting off somewhat difficult, but the BRO players have been performing better and better. And if it weren’t for the impact of COVID-19, the clashes between BRO and T1 and Gen.G would likely have been some of the classic matches of this year’s LCK Spring.
