Yesterday, April 30th, the VCS community was abuzz. Specifically, on the morning of April 30th, the VCS organizers announced a penalty for DNS Gaming – a team currently competing in VCS B and ranked in the top 4 teams set to participate in the final matches of the VCS Summer 2022 qualifiers for a chance to advance to the promotion round. According to the VCS organizers’ announcement, DNS was found to have colluded with a member of the organizing committee to manipulate match results. The punishment is that DNS is disqualified and Genius Esports is selected as a replacement.

However, later that afternoon, a representative from DNS spoke out, accusing the VCS organizers of false accusations against them. Additionally, this representative asserted that they would pursue the matter thoroughly and were ready to confront the VCS organizers if they could provide evidence that DNS engaged in the dishonest conduct mentioned in the penalty announcement.

While DNS continuously released information about the incident and demanded a clear statement from the VCS organizers, just a short while ago, the VCS organizers made another move on their social media. This time, it was another penalty announcement. The subject of this violation was the team that replaced DNS in the VCS Summer 2022 qualifiers – GE. Accordingly, the VCS organizers announced that GE violated Article 8.1.1.2 Fair Competition. As a result, GE will lose 2 bans in Game 1 of their upcoming match against AS Esports.

Below the post were comments expressing disappointment and frustration from the VCS community. The reason being that the VCS organizers remained silent regarding the DNS incident.

However, the DNS and VCS organizers situation is very serious, impacting the current and future League of Legends scene in Vietnam. The Vietnamese LoL community needs to maintain an absolutely neutral attitude, avoiding one-sided information that could influence personal opinions, thereby creating negative impacts on the individuals and teams involved in the incident.
