After 3 days of intense competition, the first round of the MSI 2022 Play-In has officially concluded with the dominance of three major names: T1, RNG, and G2. These “giants” are showing exceptional power in their group with a perfect win record. Additionally, VCS representatives – Saigon Buffalo have also delivered impressive performances that have thrilled the League of Legends community both in Vietnam and internationally.

This is clearly reflected in the statistics after the first round of the MSI 2022 Play-In. Specifically, in the KDA metric, T1’s Zeus is the “true king” with an impressive KDA of 31. In fact, in the top 10 players with the highest KDA in the tournament, all 10 are members of T1, RNG, or G2 Esports. Given that these “giants” often achieve overwhelming victories in terms of game control and kills, the high KDA of their players is understandable.

Next, regarding lane performance in the first 15 minutes, RNG’s Bin is the strongest player. After 3 matches in the first round, Bin ranks first in statistics for minion difference (42) and experience difference (1335) compared to his lane opponent at the 15-minute mark. For gold difference at the 15-minute mark, Bin also ranks second, only behind Faker.

With metrics reflecting their “team-carrying” abilities, two RNG players, Bin and Gala, continue to dominate. Specifically, in the damage dealt to champions per minute metric, Gala and Bin lead with 819 and 661 DPM respectively. Gala also ranks second in terms of damage contribution with 33.1% of all damage for Team RNG. Meanwhile, a surprising turn of events occurred when AZE’s top laner, Lonely, ranked first in damage contribution with 33.7% damage.

As for SGB’s ADC Shogun, he also made a strong impression with his “dream” statistics. Specifically, in the ADC role, Shogun ranks third in both damage contribution (28.5%) and damage dealt to champions per minute (565 DPM). This indicates that SGB has a clear strategy focusing on Shogun’s position to help him deal damage effectively.
