Ruler “regrets” despite Gen.G’s undefeated streak
As of now, Gen.G has an impressive undefeated streak of 15 matches, and it seems no other team can “shut down” the record of the MSI 2024 champions. Furthermore, individual performances from players are stellar as they lead in key metrics for their roles. Additionally, Chovy has recorded his second pentakill of his career so far, and it is also his first pentakill in the 2025 Regular Seasons. However, this has left Ruler feeling somewhat “jealous”.

Accordingly, Ruler admitted in a post-match interview: “I am jealous of Chovy’s pentakill. Just a few days ago, my pentakill was taken away by a teammate. When Chovy said he wanted a pentakill, I didn’t understand why I just wanted to give him one and had ‘let go of the mouse’ against the opponents. But I definitely won’t do that again next time.”
Moreover, Ruler also expressed dissatisfaction when the team has been somewhat complacent at times and almost lost a match. He noted that he feels they could lose at any moment: “If I let my guard down, I could make some big mistakes. Therefore, I must always stay focused. Didn’t we lose in game 2?”

Ruler and Gen.G seem ready for the challenges ahead
Although he has yet to achieve a pentakill like Chovy this season, Ruler still shows a cheerful spirit as he expresses his “jealousy” towards his teammate. In reality, achieving a pentakill in a tightly contested tournament like the LCK is quite rare. Thus, Ruler’s regret is understandable, but for him, Gen.G’s victory is likely more important.

Additionally, Gen.G has previously been highly regarded only to “fall short of greatness.” Therefore, Ruler’s vigilance is justified, especially since they, despite being undefeated, have had matches where they nearly paid the price without the genius moments from Canyon or Chovy. And since these moments cannot be repeated, Gen.G must not be complacent.
