The Power of Dr. Mundo in TFT Season 14
Although he appears in many strong compositions in TFT Season 14, Dr. Mundo rarely becomes the main carry and often plays a role as a support or “system activator”. The reason lies in the fact that this unit’s tribe – system is extremely strong and is often utilized by players to achieve as many activation thresholds as possible. However, some “eccentric players” on the Western server have recently discovered a unique main carry playstyle for Dr. Mundo with impressive power.

Accordingly, Dr. Mundo has received a significant buff in damage capabilities in patch 14.3, with both health-based and attack damage-based damage from his ability increased. This allows Dr. Mundo to equip items that boost health while still dealing substantial damage in the early to mid-game, creating a very effective snowballing situation. This is a crucial condition for players to accumulate gold, level up to 9 quickly, and add powerful 5-cost champions.
Building the Fighter – Specialist Composition in TFT Season 14
In the early game, Dr. Mundo and Alistar should be prioritized for purchase and upgrading to 2 stars as quickly as possible. For the backline, Zyra and Seraphine will serve as the long-range damage dealers and main attackers against opponents. Similar to compositions using 1-cost carries, players should not purchase experience early on to optimize the chances of obtaining Dr. Mundo, Zyra, and upgrading these units to 3 stars as quickly as possible.

After successfully upgrading Dr. Mundo and Zyra, players will need to quickly reach level 7 to add Gragas and Mordekaiser to the composition. These units will activate the 4 Fighter threshold and provide Dr. Mundo with additional health and significant damage in the mid-game. Additionally, another Specialist unit like Veigar or Brand (if lucky) is also a necessary addition to activate the 4 champion threshold of this system.

In the late game, players should aim for the 6 Specialist threshold to achieve the highest AP stats for these units. Additionally, Kobuko is a valuable addition as it provides excellent crowd control in the late game. Players can also create offensive magic items for Viego, as this unit has great access to the enemy backline.

Some Tips When Building the Composition
As a melee champion, Dr. Mundo needs 2 Warmog’s Blood Armor and any tank item to withstand fights effectively. Meanwhile, Zyra in the backline will need Shojin’s Spear along with Gemstone Gloves to ensure the strongest possible magic damage output. Regarding the Technology Core, upgrades like Passion for the Belt and Investment Strategy are extremely suitable for the playstyle revolving around Dr. Mundo. Additionally, players should also choose upgrades that support rerolling, such as Pandora’s Waiting List, Trading Area, Starry Night… to shorten the process of pushing Dr. Mundo to 3 stars.
