On May 22, the Vietnamese Crossfire team will enter the final match to compete for the gold medal. As a nostalgic game for the Vietnamese gaming community, competing on home soil and being highly regarded, the goal of the Vietnamese team is nothing less than the gold medal. Moreover, this is perhaps a rare opportunity for Crossfire to appear at a major sporting event, making it even more significant.

Although their opponent is a strong team from the Philippines in the esports scene, the Vietnamese players demonstrated complete superiority. In all three matches, the Vietnamese players dominated almost entirely. Their focus and maximum determination were clearly evident, especially in the opening game, where the Philippines intentionally chose the Port map—a map quite familiar to their players.

In the 2nd and 3rd rounds, the dynamics were quite similar to the 1st game, with Vietnam showcasing their dominance, while the Philippine players also displayed a certain level of resilience. However, the Philippine players were “powerless” against the overwhelming firepower of the Vietnamese team. The opponents’ efforts only made Vietnam’s victory more meaningful and provided the audience with thrilling moments.

With this victory, Vietnam officially claimed the gold medal at SEA Games 31 in Crossfire. And although Crossfire may not have the same appeal as it once did, the efforts of the Vietnamese players on their journey to bring glory to their country at this SEA Games 31 cannot be denied.

After this victory, captain Shady affirmed that the SEA Games gold medal is a wonderful moment in his career. He also stated that despite being highly regarded, all Vietnamese players put aside their livestreaming commitments to focus on training with the determination to bring the gold medal home for Vietnam.
