While the global LMHT community is still focused on MSI 2022, the VCS has already begun to stir with transfer-related activities. This is because, right after MSI 2022 ends, the Summer Split 2022 will start almost immediately. In the remaining time of the 2022 season, there will be many events, and thus, teams need to make the best preparations. One of the teams that has started participating in the transfer market is SBTC Esports.

Specifically, in a surprising turn of events, SE has officially said goodbye to veteran Marksman Celebrity. This move can be seen as reasonable but is very disappointing news for fans of the “VCS Circus.” The reason is that throughout many seasons in the VCS with SE, Celebrity has always been considered the leader and the most stable player. SE’s performance did not slip out of control, largely thanks to the player born in 1996.

However, it is considered reasonable because Celebrity is currently older compared to the typical age of League of Legends players. Moreover, SE itself needs some fresh air to bring more vitality to the team. With the recent end-of-season transfer in 2021 to early 2022, SE brought in many young names, indicating that the “Circus” is parting ways with Celebrity to focus on long-term investments for the future.

Under SE’s post, instead of sad comments, most were teasing remarks from the LMHT community in Vietnam in general and SE fans in particular directed at “Pink Chicken” and Marksman Celebrity. In fact, this news isn’t too surprising. Celebrity has expressed a desire to take a break several times. Furthermore, his departure may open up opportunities for younger, more talented Marksmen to join SE.

Nevertheless, this may also be the end of Celebrity’s professional gaming journey. And regardless of the outcome, his contributions to the Vietnamese LMHT scene and to SE are undeniable. Surely, Celebrity will remain one of the most outstanding Marksmen that VCS has ever produced.
