Although it is not a new trait and has existed for a long time in Teamfight Tactics, Riot Games still knows how to make the Fighter composition exciting in the current season 7. Not only have they created champions with strong abilities, but they have also gifted the Fighter trait a powerful Divine Dragon, SyFen, capable of carrying the team. So how can we maximize the power of these high-health champions? Let’s find out.

Simply put, the 6 Fighter team will operate based on the extremely large health pool that these champions possess. This aspect will allow melee champions like Olaf or SyFen himself more time to deal damage and take down enemy units. Even when facing team comps with strong backlines, SyFen’s ability will completely solve this problem as it helps our Divine Dragon reach and quickly eliminate the enemy team’s main damage dealer.
In terms of team composition, in the best-case scenario, you will have a team of 4 Fighters very early with Tahm Kench, Skarner, Shen, and Olaf (or Sylas, Illaoi). These 4 champions have excellent tanking capabilities, but their damage output is still quite significant. If not, you can start with a more standard setup of 2 Fighters and 2 Marksmen with Ezreal holding damage items for the main carry.

In the mid-game stage, what you need to do is complete the 4 Fighters threshold as soon as possible to ensure frontline durability. In case you do not have SyFen yet, you should use carries like Ezreal and Ashe in the backline to hold items for this unit. You can even consider using Sorcerers and Nami with Sylas as the carry in this stage if possible to maintain health effectively.

After reaching level 8, players need to roll heavily to seek the two key upgrades: SyFen and Ornn. SyFen is fundamentally the carry of this composition, so acquiring and leveling him to 2 stars is extremely important. Meanwhile, Ornn will play a control role, ensuring that SyFen can take down the enemy’s backline without losing too much health.

Regarding technology core choices, upgrades that increase durability are always prioritized for the Fighter composition. A little tip is to choose the “New Life” core when playing this composition because the healing value it provides is immense when applied to high-health units. Additionally, the core that increases AD based on 2% of maximum health is also an extremely valuable upgrade, as it will help SyFen and the other Fighter units deal significant damage without needing overly complex items.
For item building, SyFen will need Bloodthirster and Titan’s Resolve to ensure both survivability and damage. For the third item, it is advised to combine Quicksilver at the end of the game. With the current meta having too many strong crowd control units, ensuring the carry can deal damage comfortably is extremely important.
