Since its launch, Teamfight Tactics has always been closely tied to League of Legends, from champion design to skill icons. In fact, there have been several occasions where Teamfight Tactics updates have even revealed new skins for League of Legends champions as they were used to create pieces in the “auto chess” game.

Therefore, it’s understandable that Riot Games would bring all champions from League of Legends into Teamfight Tactics. With Season 6 having recently concluded, two champions, Orianna and Alistar, have made their debut in Teamfight Tactics. This leaves Rammus as the only League of Legends champion who has yet to appear in “auto chess,” and players are very curious about when Riot Games will change this.
However, we will be quite disappointed as in the most recent broadcast, the Project Director of Teamfight Tactics – Riot Mortdog confirmed that Rammus will never appear in this game. “Why are you asking about Rammus? Let me be clear, Rammus will never appear in Teamfight Tactics. This champion is just not suitable at all, so he will never be added to this game,” Riot Mortdog shared.

One of the most important aspects of designing champions for Teamfight Tactics is that Riot tries to retain their most distinctive features from League of Legends. This could be skills, a series of abilities, or some special effects to create familiarity and help players understand the champions better. For example, the current skill of Ryze in Teamfight Tactics is a different version of the Overload ability from League of Legends.

In the case of Rammus, his standout feature is the ability to increase speed and move quickly with the Powerball skill. However, as we know, the battlefield of Teamfight Tactics is not very large and does not allow for the true nature of Rammus to be showcased. Perhaps this is the reason why Riot Mortdog bluntly stated that Rammus will never appear in Teamfight Tactics.
